jeff ranieri's standing by. >> we had a mix of everything. hail, isolated thunderstorms and extremely gusty winds this morning, too. we had the snow and mike up in the sierra, but we have some of our own bay area snow happening. yes, this is a frosted over lens from mt. hamilton. we could see two to four inches of snow above 3,000 feet as we head throughout the next 48 hours. so if you're traveling across the hill top, it's going to be slick. back here at home, let's look out towards oakland. clouds up to about 20 to 25,000 feet in some cases. a lot of lift in these clouds just indicating the instability. right now, just 51 in oakland. winds southwest at 17 miles per hour. it's not only for the bay area and the sierra, but the entire state, which is currently getting rainfall. it's very isolated. we're seeing like this popcorn effect on the map. that's all this instability that's creating these pockets of rainfall. so right now, we're not seeing too much in terms of widespread coverage for rainfall. but where we are getting the rain is coming
